Modifiers: Min/Max Examples (Build a Bowl)
Square allows you to set minimum and maximum selections for modifier sets. QRdrly respects these rules and enforces them during ordering.
This is useful for build your own experiences such as bowls, salads or burgers.
When to use min and max
Section titled “When to use min and max”Use minimum selections when the customer must choose at least one option.
Use maximum selections when the customer cannot exceed a limit.
Example structure
Section titled “Example structure”A build your own bowl might use:
- Choose 1 Base
- Choose 1 Protein
- Choose up to 4 Mix Ins
- Choose up to 2 Sauces
Each of these is a separate modifier set with its own min and max values.
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Keep modifier sets focused on one type of choice
- Do not mix unrelated items in the same modifier set
- Provide clear naming that indicates expectations
