Pre-Ordering Settings
Pre ordering allows customers to order for a future time. This is useful for busy periods, catering style orders or businesses with predictable rush patterns. You can enable pre ordering for specific locations in the Location Settings page in the QRdrly portal.
What you can configure
Section titled “What you can configure”- Whether pre ordering is enabled
- Pre ordering when business is open or closed
- Minimum lead time required (minutes)
- Maximum days in advance a customer can order
When to use pre ordering
Section titled “When to use pre ordering”Use pre ordering when:
- You want to spread demand across the day
- Customers routinely order ahead for pickup or delivery
- You accept pre service or morning orders
- You want to reduce wait times during peak hours
Best practices
Section titled “Best practices”- Set a reasonable minimum buffer time so staff can prepare without pressure - This stops customers from selecting an order time that is unrealistic for your kitchen to prepare.
